And now it's over charging

So, got a whole new battery... Replace the stator... Rotor checks out... Everything should be good to go right? WRONG!! Haha... Damn thing is running at about 18.5 volts. Goes over 19 when I rev it. Figure if I were to ride it like this, it would fry the battery again...
Anyone have any thoughts as to why this could be charging so high?
It ain't a custom till you have customized it yourself.

I'm pretty sure this is a regulator/rectifier issue. Have you checked that?
1981 SS with Kerker 4-1 exhaust and extremely attractive rider.

It is definitely the Regulator portion of the Rectifier/Regulator device (both in one housing).  It's an expensive piece, but here is a thread on how to make an inexpensive replacement:  http://honda-cb750-s.456789.n3.nabble.com/Cheap-and-Easy-Replacement-Regulator-Rectifier-DOHC-td4041812.html.  Cheers!
