Anybody here into straight razors?

I have a Dovo thats been laying around for about a year. It needs to be honed before I can use it.Just wondering if anyone on here has the stones to do this and if I could hire their services.Pleeeease....

Try a barber. My barber uses them all the time.

If yoou can find a old school barber.
Simple if some one else can, why can't I

lol   I'm talking about shaving, not um...yeah.

No luck with a barber shops around here. One doesnt use them and the other uses the replaceable blade styleAll the cool ,old stuff doesn't get used anymore

See My Barber is old school he still uses them for side burns and the back of the neck. He even use the thick leather strip to clean and  keep them sharp. Old school
Simple if some one else can, why can't I

Can't you get a fine wetstone and a strop?  I gave my dad a setup like that.  Can't remember where I got it though.

I've got a barber stone and a strop that I use to keep my other razors in good shape. But a barbers stone is extra,extra fine and just works for maintaining an already good edge. I dont have the coarser stones needed to whip a new razor into fighting condition. And good stones are super expensive.Like,several hundred dollars and up!

     Look for a scissor sharpening place,many shoe places do sharpening too.
