Battery not charging

Joe shag
I have a 1980 CB750F , has a new battery but I have to charge all the time so not charging . It does have a new stator and I checked the easy things like cleaning the terminals and loose wires. Not sure where to start any ideas?

Thanks

Step 1: get as copy of the factory service manual from the home page of this forum.
Step 2: find the section on the charging and battery.
Step 3: start at the alternator end and test everything back to the battery. Look for burnt connectors, broken or blown fuses, loose connections.
Step 4: get back to us with what you found, if you weren't able to find a problem. :-)

We're here to help.

Thanks Luke, so far I am not finding any bad wires or connections, the stater looks new and the regulator/ rectifier looks new. Hope it's not the rotor heard they are expensive!

Yeah gonna need to check for continuity. A dead stator is common but it could be as simple as a bad regulator or rectifier.
