Battery

firebladefrank
Hi guys, I'm currently attempting to restore a 1975 CB750 DOHC, I'm looking to replace the battery and unsure what model battery it takes, there is currently an old CB14-LB2 in it but I've been told this is the wrong battery, any info appreciated

Re: Battery

I bought my battery from cb750supply.com for $56. The model is CBTX14AHL-BS. Now I have a SOHC 76 750K. So you may want to wait for re-run or tools to confirm whether or not this battery is right for you. But going to their website you can pick which bike you are shopping for and get part numbers that way. I order almost everything from this site and have not been disappointed. Sometimes vintagecb750.com has better deals on things, but not often. Good luck.

The battery has little leeway in size but stock is 14AH. If you look at the front of the battery, the - terminal is on the left and the + is on the right.
I prefer to get batteries in a store. You might spend slightly more but you do not have to worry about shipping and if your battery goes bad and is under warranty, you drive to the store and get it replaced.
You also get a credit for the old core.
