Best maintenance and preps during winter

Rockwork
Hey comrades, what are your best maintenance and preparations over winter? With a lull of 2 months, what maintenance can be done now and preparation for the new season.

This is a depressing period for me. I'm accustomed to riding CB (78 CB750F) every day. Honestly, I even cheat on CB by looking at other bikes online. But I'm also exploring trips for the new season.

I took the tank and side covers to a body shop to professionally redo, which I'm really excited about.  I'm thinking about replacing the front and rear tires when I get it out of hibernation. Of course, I'll pour a can a Seafoam in the tank for the first fill-up, and change the oil asap.

But what do you do to maintain and prep your bike to resume its best performance in the new season?

I go into the living room and stare at the Toolmatic and dream of nice weather. As for performing any maintenance during the winter, there is none needed. I perform maintenance as needed.

I never worry about maintenance in the winter, unless it is something major that would require the bike to be out of service, say a valve job or something like that. Otherwise, I just have my things I do to get the bike ready for storage, and then when it comes out.

All I do it throw the battery on a maintainer, throw some seafoam in the tank, run it a bit, close off the carbs so they run dry and then dream of spring.

One thing you could do is bore out the cylinders and put some bigger pistons in it!
