Biggest tires I can get.

So, I've decided to get some dual sport style tires for my 750. Don't ask why. I just like them. Anyways, I want the widest and biggest aspect ratio I can fit. I am pretty sure I have stock wheels on the bike. (fenders won't be an issue)

Right now in the front I have a 100/90-19 and a 120/80-18 in the rear. I am looking at Shinko 700's or something of that nature. Anyone have any idea how big of a tire I can get with those wheels? The size of the tire doesn't say anything about rim size... (or does it?)

For optimal road use, the sizes you have now are the ideal size. You might be able to bump up to a 110/90-19 in the front but fender clearance will be an issue.
In the rear, you have a narrow swingarm, you could probably stuff a 130/90-18 there.
Keep in mind though that your bike has a high center of gravity which may not play well with a dual sport tire.

Ok, this might be a really dumb question, but why can't I put a tire designated as a 'rear tire' in the front if it fits?

I think that the real question is: are you prepared to cut/modify/replace your swingarm?  If you are, then that opens you up to a lot more options with respect to tire size.

Me personally - I wouldn't attempt it given my skill/experience level.

I am not sure there is an issue with doing that. I have seen rear tires small enough to be used on the front. Only thing I can think of would be issues with tread patterns.
