Blown Fuses

Hey Guys...ok..82 CBC750..was running with power before i started screwing with it..now..nothing...got a junker for cheap..someone patched in electrical before i got it..wow..blank wires everywhere but.. all was working..had to get a new rear light assembly...cover was missing on old original one...hooked up the new one...running light worked fine..but no brake light...went to fuses..had one blown...(there are 4- 15A..the posts i read said 3..but i have 4 and a place for the spare)..left the damn cover off the fuse box..keys hit them...out like a light..feel like and idiot..stupid, lazy mistake..anyway..replaced ALL 4 fuses..now nothing...did i blow the solenoid fuse?? or short out the entire mess??...PLEASE HELP... or is there another fuse i should be looking at...really new to this stuff..but Im a quick study...thanks

There should be a fused link at the solenoid. It is just a thin metal strip that goes between two screws. It is most likely hidden under a rubber cover. I replace them with a wire in blade type fuse holder and a blade type circuit breaker. Just put terminal ends on the wires coming out of the fuse holder and put them on the two bolts that held the fused link.
