Bought a new house

Spending a lot of time right now getting the old one ready to put up for sale.

New house has a two car garage .  Big upgrade from the small single I've been working out of.

My wife wants to park two cars in the garage (it doesn't have a driveway and I can't park cars on the street).  I want to have a project bike and a riding bike.

I currently live close enough to work that I can walk if I need to when the weather is bad (snow or terrible rain is all that really keeps me from riding).

I might end up buying a really small 2nd car for the winter, but I'd prefer to avoid it and have my garage space just for bike building.

Nice I myself am looking in to buying another house and selling the one I am in.

Going to look at on tomorrow. Two car heated with work shop. That is the important part right

Congratulations on the new home! Too bad about the parking situation. Do you have enough of a yard to maybe construct a shelter to work on the bikes?

Is it necessary to be able to close the garage doors?  If not, you should be able to put the bikes at the far end of the garage.

Yes, I'm kidding.  I'm sure you'll work out something.  Maybe an outbuilding with a good concrete floor?

The first thing i would do is put in a concrete drive way.

You can build the forms yourself.

It really helps a lot.

No driveway possible. Garage backs onto the lane way in the back. Land is very expense where I live.  Still a big upgrade over what I had previously. The house that had everything that we wanted were going for over half a million and I'm just not in that kind of a position financially to take that on right now lol.

Build a bench like mine and put it on wheels. I can move my bike and stand to in front of either car. I actually worked on my roommates 1996 Civic with the bike in front. My garage is a 2.5 stall though. Check my build thread if you want an idea how its set up.

They really don't take much room or need a very big door. Do you have space that you could add-on a little 10 or 12' extention "bike shop" to the side of the garage?
 Or get yourself a little work beater cage and squeeze it all on "your side" of the existing, like this one here pictured with a buddy of mine who is NOT freakishly large!

Lol guys, how many times do I need to say that land is at a premium

There is about 2.5 feet on either side of the garage that will be land that I own.  Then it's my neighbours yard for 2.5 feet, then his double car garage.

I could put a big shed in my back yard that is in between the house and the garage, but my wife would kill me as it would take up a quarter of the yard.

A small car is really my only option.  I would like something cool that I could wrench on myself, but it will also be my primary transportation during the winter so it's probably better if I just get a small beater.

I have time though.  I don't move in until August.

Oh, and no it isn't heated right now.  I am planning on insulating it though so I can heat it properly.
