CB750 C, F & K

Ross Warren
Hello everyone, I recently purchased my first bike, a 1981 CB750 C. Never having owned a bike before I figured, hey, I am 56 and not getting any younger. So, did my research, sold my 1976 Reinell 20' restored boat and came across this classic Honda, purchased from a motorcycle fanatic last weekend. I actually was initially interested in a 750Cafe he had, but he talked me out of it, wisely i think, at least for now. Once he showed me this 750C, I was sold.

But, I have one question for the group ( I know I will have many as time goes on too) The service manual that came with the bike seems to have been written around the K, although the addendums refer to the F & C as well. For the life of me, i can't firgure out what the differences are between all 3 different models. Can someone here please educate me? i'd really appreciate it, as this may help me when identifying parts I may need to purchase in the future.

By the way, i think this is a great site and look forward to gaining a lot of knowledge from you all. Reading through your forum I have already decided to do some restoration on the bike, but not until the winter...got to get out and ride this summer!

Thanks in advance!

the c i believe has a smaller rear wheel then the other 2. gas tank is completly different, minimal plastics. the f and k series are very simillar. with the 2 sharing the same style tank "but they are different" and plastics very as well . rear tails on all 3 are different. but the motors are all the same. rear suspentions are different i believe aswell.

hope this helps

Interestingly enough I have been searching for answers too . . . remembered seeing it somewhere before and hit the search box -- came up with [among others] what's the difference?

"The thing about quotes on the Internet is you cannot confirm their validity" - Abraham Lincoln

"Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened." - Winston S. Churchill

Most motorcyclists live more in five minutes than other people do in their entire lives.

Exhausts differ as well. -- K and C exhausts will interchange , but the F pipe will NOT fit the others due to kickstand mounting and pivot point , and of course the other pipes will not fit the F for the same reason .
