CB750 VIN issue

GL1800
I picked up a bike this past weekend that was marked as a 1972 on the title.     The VIN is CB750 1115122.  Per the parts manual the frame numbers for the K0 are: 1000001 - *; for K1: 1044650 - *.  It appears that my VIN represents a VERY late K1... is that right?  If not, then what model is this?

Obviously I'm a newbie to the CB750 world, so thanks in advance for your help!!

The K-? coding of the early CB's does not necessarily go with the year of the bike on the registration. Back then the bikes were assigned a year by when they were sold/titled. Several bikes back then were often stored for a year or more before being sold. I have one in my shop right now that was manufactured in 1972, but was not titled until 1974. So even though it is a K-2 it's year is a 1974. I also have a CB 350 in the basement that was manufactured in 1971, but is titled as a 1974.

If this is for real, you have a very early Sandcast (K-0) frame $$$$$$$$$$$$$ with a K-4 engine.

Wow, what does a full sandcast frame go for these days?  I couldn't find any on ebay, but seeing that a non-working front brake caliper goes for $200 that frame has got to be worth a lot....
