CB750 chugging at low speeds

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping to get some advice with my 82 CB750F.  It has been a great bike for me but a problem has been plaguing it at the end of last year's riding season and at the beginning of this one. The bike Idles well, and runs well with the throttle cranked open, at lower speeds however it chugs pretty bad.  I have to get on the gas to get it to move without stalling.  I took apart and cleaned the carbs and the problem seemed to get better, but within a day's worth of riding got worse again.  I don't think it is rust inside the tank or a fuel filter obstruction because it does run better when the throttle is open wide.  Maybe the plugs or plug wires are bad? Or I was thinking the seals on the carbs themselves looked pretty worn out maybe air is getting in through there?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

sounds like your primary jets could be clogged, idle jet does idle, main jet does full throttle, primary jet does cruiseing, after about 1500 rpm primary jet takes over till you womp on it then main jet kicks in, just take off float bowls with carbs still on bike and reclean primary and main jets, get new in line filter or 2 and pour a can of seafoam in the tank and run, run, run,,,,hope this helps, mikey440

also put new spark plugs in it, strongly recomend new gas filter,,,a gooood one..
 seafoam is great product for cleaning interior of carbs, put whole can in a tank of gas,,you can find it a parts store
