CBX

seestheday
There is a restored stock CBX in the honda dealership near me that they have on display (not for sale).

I noticed something neat about it.  It comes stock with clip-ons.  I didn't know that about them.

Pics below.

Lol, its not for sale Tools. Even if it was, I'm not sure even you would want to drop $10K+ on a showroom condition cbx.

Thanks Shiny,
Interesting comment on the gas cap.  It's exactly the same on my 81 CB750K - although mine is in much worse condition.

Really? Then you have a really cool gas cap. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I'm looking for a tank to scrounge parts off of.

They are not really clip ons. They do not attach to the fork legs.
Clip ons attach directly to the fork legs.

There are many bikes that have the handlebars attached to the triple tree.
Just some have no risers.

That's neat!  Did not notice that myself.  I hang out with a group on Friday's Vintage Bike night and there are about 3 CBX's that show up.  Never did notice it.  Love the bike but too wide for me, I can't flat foot at all.

Interesting.  I had assumed that the visible round things above the handlebars were the tops of the forks and that the handlebars were clipped directly to them - with the triple tree connected below the clip-ons.
