Can I mount a different engine to my 1975 cb750 frame?

I've recently purchased a 1975 cb750F frame. My goal is to build a complete bike, but I've run into
some issues trying to find the right engine for it. So my question is,

Can I mount a different year of engine to this frame as long as it's a SOHC?

You can mount anything from 70-78 K or F to your bike. Best years are 71-76 though. 77/78 engines use a different front sprocket so you would need to change that.
Do NOT use the A motor. It will not fit ad it has an auto tranny.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
