Hi Everyone !!

shanga
Excuse the newbie intro, but I'm Kev from Scotland.

I've decided I want to make myself a CB750 Cafe Racer, after seeing a few crackers on the web.

I have my eye on a CB750K that a friend has, it's a 82 model.

I know you can get other tanks and seats easy enough, but i'd love spoked wheels. It has comstars? disc front drum rear.

What kind of spoked wheels fit ??

Just want to know how easy it will be to sort out. I'm wantin to get the bike tomorrow. !! fingers crossed.

Cheers all, and hello again. All advice welcome, I'm sure I'll have lots more questions soon.

Shanga.

Well the dohc (79-82) models do not lend themselves to cafes as well as the 69-78 models do.
Also, if his bike is a K, it should have had spokes already I think. Either way, you can get spoke rims for that year and cb750 and you should be able to put it right on with minor work.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Cheers for the assist, I'll just need to look out for the wheels I think.

The bike I'm looking at seems to be in pretty good condition ( and pretty cheap ), and I've seen a few Cafe'd already.

What are the main differences, that could cause me bother ??

I'd think the DOHC would be a batter if physically bigger motor.

I'm after the straight line under the tankthrough the seat to the tail. Absolutely no junk at the back of the engine. Minimalist probably best describes it. 1 mirror no indicators, idiot lights etc.

I've given myself a challenge.

Welcome to the forum. I think any of the earlier spoke wheels will fit. Just use the K rear wheel with drum break.
