Carb Kits???

riedling
So.. I've read a LOT about crappy kits out there... Whose do you recommend and why?  All I've seen is the VERY expensive Randakk one... I've got a 79 DOHC CB750K

Thanks!

You may not need an entire kit. Take 'em apart and clean them up and see what you need. At a minimum, you'll want float bowl gaskets and probably float needles, but other than that you may be OK. Just depends on how long they sat with old fuel in there. I got the gaskets and needles from Parts N More (there's a link to them in the parts suppliers post).

Yeah, there's a lot of rubbish out there. But I heartily recommend the Randakk kit. It's got everything except float needles and the soft bits are high quality and tough. Try putting a cheap O-ring on a cross tube and taking it off a couple of times and all you'll have is a curved strip of rubber. The Randakk ones stood up to my ham-fisted technique very well.
If you need float needles try Vintage CB750.

Oh yeah, and don't scrimp, especially with the cross tubes (fuel supply and accel pump). It's a royal pain to get the bank back together and installed only to find out the old rings are leaking. Don't ask how I know this.
