Clutch control trade

shinyribs
Administrator
I have good clutch side control that I am planning to shave the clutch lever mount off of. Since parts for these bikes are becoming more scarce I really hate to do it. Necessary evil. If any one has a control with a broken clutch perch I would gladly trade with them if they need a healthy one. It would relieve me of the guilt of shaving a perfectly good control. Only thing is,I already sand blasted this housing. Might be a deal killer for someone. Dont hesitate to reply if this post becomes a few months old. I'll update at the last minute, right before I cut this one. If you wanna swap just holler at me. Thanks

I guess.  If matic controls are the same. Do the internals interchange? Besides id figured they'd be pretty rare to find.

Piute,I have another clutch side control complete. It's kinda dirty and I dont know if the guts are good or not. I didnt want just any control on this side.I wanted both bikes to have identical switches. Just makes it easier when going from one to another. I have a clutch mount all ready to go,i just need to shave this one off so they wont interfere. And my new clutch actually fits around this control really good. I think that GL control looks too wide,my lever might not clear it. I was just hoping to find a broken one that i could salvage and keep this good one intact. I thought I had on with a broken housing, but I cant find it anywhere.Oh well. If you want me to send you one holler at me. Just let me know which one, this one,or the other original one.

"Pricy"??? That is cheap, even with the ends of the wires cut off. I would offer him $25.00.

"Kinda pricey".It's all relative. If I NEEDED one, then that's one thing. I have two housing here I can cut for free. I dont need one,I WANT one. Besides,Piute offered to buy one to replace mine, but there is no way I would ask him to pay that much a switch.I can get a brand new aftermarket switch cheaper than that.
Its $43 right now with shipping. It'll probably end up close to $60-70 like all the rest of them.

Since it's such a great deal, why would you have to offer him less?
