Cold starting 71 CB750 K1

Syd
Hello - Now that winter has stated over here in New Zealand, my 71 CB750 K1 struggles to start when cold after sitting for a while. I don't have an owners manual for the bike to see it there are any priming tricks and I cannot seem to find a pdf copy of one on the intenet. Normal sequence is to lift choke, throttle closed and try starting uses the electric starter, however, its just a real struggle. The bike is in as new condition after a complete rebuild 3 years ago and runs spot on when going. Any simple proven cold start up suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers

That is pretty much the way to start one cold. These bikes are very well known for being cold blooded, especially after sitting for awhile. However you might have dirty pilot jets, so try using "Sea Foam" in your gas. Also you could put in a larger pilot jet. This helps a lot with cold starting.
