We had something similar before, but I couldn't find it. Anyway....

Dry clutch on a twin cam?  That front fender/fork brace is too cool.

Ah, Tools with the artsy shot!

The Ronin. Full story and some video here.

"Since the concept bike was hand built, building more than a handful of bikes would require infrastructure to be put in place. As the concept was named Ronin it was decided that the number of bikes should be 47 as homage to the old story of The 47 Ronin from Japanese folklore.

By this point Harley-Davidson® dealerships were liquidating Buell® motorcycles at an accelerated pace, giving the Ronin Motor Works founders only a limited amount of time to acquire 47 donor 1125 motorcycles that were needed for a production run.

Two weeks later, after contacting Harley-Davidson® dealerships across the country, the needed 47 Buell® 1125 bikes were acquired and placed into long-term storage. These motorcycles awaited their fate, and a plan to bring them to a new life was created."

Not a lot of info on this bike. 1985 DOME DCFI Black Buffalo.

Frame appears to be carbon fiber and acts as the fuel tank? Engine looks Nighthawk-ish, or from an F of that era. I'd love to have full info on this bike. Weight, engine, etc. For 1985 it was definitely ahead of it's time.

lol. Definitely. Shoulda posted the finished product before. Of course, the bike ran faired, but it hid all the goodness.

What makes this bike from Holland so cool?

Well, besides just being cool, it has a really nice tach plug.

I need to find out what exhaust that is. Look how well it tucks up!

Who wouldn't reply to a "Cool Bikes" thread?
I've never posted this here, but I kinda like it.

The air intake is the rear end of a 107mm rocket fired at my house in Afghanistan.
Handgrips and foot pegs are Flash Bang grenades.
Foot controls are M4 muzzles.
Tail lights are another king of Flash Bang.
Pop up gas caps from 40mm grenade casings.
HWMMV starter switch housed in a smoke grenade body.
Headight is a Surefire Hellfighter machine gun light.
.50 cal charging handle assembly serves as a suicide shifter.
Fuel shut off valve if from a Soviet Armored Car from Afghanistan.
Heat shield on exhaust pipe is from a Mossberg 500 shotgun.
And so on...
I tooled the leather, designed the frame, and did all the fab work save for the welding.  Even the wheels are one off (I chopped the ugliness off of some Bayonet wheels)

What's cool is - people look at it, and unless they've served in the military, don't even recognize the parts. It doesn't scream theme bike, because none of the parets are decorations - they're all functional.
Anyway, that's my tribute to any 18 series guys who miught read this thread.

Bravo, is that your bike? I didn't know if that was actually you speaking in the description or of that was copy & paste.

Very cool for sure. Not my taste particularly, but I'd love to ride it!

It is indeed mine.  Two years in the making.  I'm not much of a chopper guy either, but I thought, if I build one, it might as well be MY interpretation of what a chopper should be. Working on the next oen now.

Great looking bike. I love all the military hardware incorporated into it, I'd like to see it up close.
