I would much prefer one of these over a ninja 250 as a second bike. They actually look cool.

Come to think of it, isn't this what motorcycles started out to be:  A bicycle with a motor attached to help you up hills and stuff?  A purely utilitarian device, sometimes used to catch speeders (MC cops in the 20s and 30s, riding those Harleys)?  Then it became a fashion statement, then a luxury vehicle, and now someone's trying to restart the franchise.

I'm not condemning Cleveland Cycleworks, or the other bikes out there.  I have a feeling he'll sell quite a few of these as basic transportation or something to rort around on.  Like the (then) underpowered CB125s and CB250s.

I wish him well.

I love them. Small, light, looks good, sounds good and cheap. Other than not being a power house,I'd say its everything a motorcycle ought to be. I think i read somewhere they are either right at or under 200 lbs. Designed in mind for someone to be able to roll them into their apartments, even up stairs. Cool. Try pushing a CB750 up a flight if stairs. Ok,one stair!

It tickles me that people criticize these bikes for having a "Chinese" engine, rather than an American engine. So what? Have American motorcycle engines ever proven to be all that fantastic? Nope.

Details- http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/heist-details/

I had it wrong.Dry weight is 115 lbsAdd two gallons of gas and a few? quarts of oil and your probably well under 150 lbs still. Thats very cool,I'd say.

Yep, just a cheap little bike for running around town on errands, and if someone steals it, who cares? lol
