Some of the guiys that I have restored bikes for have had parts rechromed at a few different places here in Kansas City. All the shops were really close to each other in price. However the differences in quality were apparent. All did shine, but you could tell the difference in polishing, and prep work.
I do not know what it is you want plated, or what it is used for, or even what type of plating you want on it, but I would suggest that you just start shopping around your area for plating companeys. Get quotes and refferences.
