Crankcase breather T-piece part number?

Rodgil
My 1982 CB750F has a rubber 3 way T-piece just below the top frame tube which takes the two crankcase breather tubes, and feeds into the airbox. I cant find the part number in any listing. It probably is no longer available, but I would need a part number to look. Has anyone been able to find it?

Well I don't know exactly what the part looks like, but you can go to bike bandit and use their fiche and find a lot of part numbers. I am guessing you could just get a simple t to connect the hoses to.

Thanks Re-run, i've looked at all the parts fiche but can't seem to find the breather hoses or t-piece. I hoped someone smarter than myself has been able to find it.

I wonder if someone has removed the separator, and used a "T" fitting to connect the hoses?

Re: Crankcase breather T-piece part number?

Hi Tools. My 1982 CB750F is an unmodded origional. One breather hose comes off the crankcase beside the oil filler, the other hose comes off the gearbox case just in from the clutch housing. they join at a rubber (neoprene?) t-piece under the top frame tube, in front of the air box, where a short hose then connects to the air box. While I will probably end up repairing the split in the t-piece, I am suprised that it is not shown in the FSM (CB750 F, C, K 1979-1982) or the addendums, or any parts listing that I have looked at.

But where is the "separator" in this setup?

The separator is inside the airbox. The air/oil fumes/condensation enters off the t-piece into the front of the airbox, and a drain pipe comes out the back.

I have never seen a separator inside an airbox. On your bike it is a rectangular shaped box mounted behind the airbox. I would bet dollars to doughnuts that it has been removed, and the lines connected back together with the "T" piece.

Re: Crankcase breather T-piece part number?

Hi Tools. The rectangular box is there, under the battery. The hoses come off the motor, into the top of the airbox. A plastic tube comes out the back of the airbox, into the rectangular box.
I'm going to repair the t-piece, but am still puzzled why I can't find the hoses off the motor, or the T-piece, in any parts listing. One of lifes small mysteries?

Hello Tools, sorry for the delay, i've been busy with the engine apart. The t-piece is at the front top of airbox, and takes the two breather hoses off the crankcase.

I need one, too. Those things are super fragile. I haven't found one either.

If I can't find one and I end up making a replacement (most likely scenario) I'll post up here.
