It's a sickness I understand all to well. That's kind of high. All, you are getting is an engine that needs work, and a frame that does not have a title. However it is a K-0, and that would make it collectable. I have a complete K-4 I will let, you have, for $1,500

I originally only wanted a cafe, but I kinda like the chrome fenders and the two up seat so I can take someone for a ride. ;) I don't want my cafe to have fenders though, so I think I NEED both.
Uh-Oh, I haven't been on the board that long…How come I'm the one who gets TOOLS-itis? lol

Nah, I was just joking. My cafe isn't going to be a numbers matching deal. I hope to find a similar deal (frame and engine) for less than $500. Many members on this board got whole bikes for that, and not to rusty either!

See thats why I'm going with a Bratstyle seat on my "cafe" build.
ANyhow, a grand for that seems wwwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyy to high. If it had a title I could see asking that much. but it don't. you can get a running complete bike for less.

Get yours running first, if the bike was taken apart and it already got stripped bolts, no title, sounds like bad news and more cash to be spent. Put that G into your bike instead

The best way to remove those studs on the engine now is to take a piece of flat bar and drill a hole the size of the stud and then put the flat bar over the stud and mig weld the stud to the flat bar through the
hole . Tap on it a couple times THEN spray with WD40 and then try turning the stud back and forwards until it will come out.

I know what he means but you would have to take off the head. It would be easier to just replace the head but again...more money, drilling, time, and risk, iether way you look at it. Not worth the money he's asking at all

I have used Donalds method on exhaust manifold bolts on autos,it does work.Things are so cramped on these bikes it would be difficult, though doable,to pull off.I agree, waaay too much money. For another $500 you can get a running one

Oh I see. he was telling him how to remove the exhaust studs. I had forgotten all about that. I always weld a nut onto a broken bolt to remove it.

That is a good idea too. Then you can put a wrench on the nut.
