Easy one!

kiwirob
Hi guys, Its been a while but I`m back on new energy and a little cash to throw at my project...finally!
Will upload pics of the work in progress but for now. A quick question:

Will a CB750F 1981 seat and pan fit onto the 81 C ? also I don`t have a existing seat or pan on my 81C.

I am looking for a quick fix to have this bike go over the pits before ultering frame. Being in Oz it gets pretty expensive quickly with post from the states. This seat is local so if it can work it would save me half....which I could spend on other goodies for her!
Cheers in advance for the help guys

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I checked a couple seat pans from the c and f and they don't look the same. A cb900c might work though. I will see if I can find anything more definitive.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

I believe the mounting tabs are in different locations. However if you are planning on altering the frame, that should not be a big deal.

thanks for the feedback gurus.  I think I`ll wait out until I find a c seat. Alter the frame once its re registered as I think they are fairly anal on mods to frames. Cheers for the quick response guys

I`ll be touching base with you again, as I`m starting to tune the old girl and at the moment she backfires from 2 up. I`ve been following the manual and I`m upto a realiable compression test. I`ve only got the type that seals over the hole/ not the screw in type. I`m no expert but it doesn`t seem to reliable. Second will be carb clean again.

Question. This bike had no airbox on it when it got to me. I`ve put the pods on it that were in the spares bucket KnNs. Can I sync carbs....(when  I get to that) with the pods, or do I have to estimate rejet and sync from there?
