Emgo shocks?

This post was updated on .
Anybody ever ran these? Im considering purchasing a rear set shorter than stock, but Ive heard mixed reviews on some of Emgos products. Im running their handlebars and headlight, with no complaints but wasnt sure how good of quality their shocks would be? Any personal reviews or warnings?

I think that is what I put on the Toolmatic. I got them from Parts and more. Then I saw that vintagecb750.com had them cheaper. However I really like them. They work great especially two up riding.

If you are riding by yourself and not very heavy(under 200) they will ride pretty damn rough in most cases. The springs are really strong on them. I have that issue now with my Boge shocks. The spring rate is tremendous. Get 2 up though and the ride changes a lot. it is a budget shock though so obviously not for super performance.

A word of warning though, stay away from their air filters. Too restrictive. I used one for a while and I could never get things tuned right. Always too rich. I was going to get a stock filter but for the less than $20 difference between a 1 time use stock or a lifetime K&N, well guess which one I got!

Not the first time I've heard bad things about EMGO ign sw's. I've used alot of their other products. You just gotta be careful what you buy.

It's like Harbor Freight. They have alot of stuff with great prices. But i wouldn't buy anything like a welder or a plasma cutter that was "HF Brand" if you know what I mean.

The emgo switches are not rated high enough for power draw for a cb750. That is why they die. I know there was supposed to be a way around them but I can't remember what anymore.
