Engine Painting

Polymer-2
Has anyone painted their engine? If so what paint did you use and how did you prep and apply it,
gloss or flat etc. Any overheating problems?
I like the look of the black engines with polished front covers.

I did my 1954 Horex Cylinder in black. I used NAPA High Heat Engine Enamel about 20 years ago.
The Cylinder Head is Glass beaded without any protective coating applied. It is holding up great.
If I could ever figure out how to upload a picture....OK, here it goes , Karl

Hi Polimer,
the Horex is a German bike. This one is a 400cc single, has
push-rod operated valves with dual exhaust. it is for its time a very strong machine.
when the bike boom ended in 1956, the factory closed its doors for good. (unfortunately)
