Had the problem of revving the engine, and it would not go back down to idle. checked everything, valves, timing, points, condensors, plugs everything. Called a local Honda mechanic, described the problem and he immediately told me the spark advancer springs were worn causing the throw out arms to not pull at idle, thus the reason for the bike hi idling.
Went everywhere looking for replacement springs with no luck. Simple solution was to just cut off one coil each and bend the ends. Throttle just snaps now. Sounds awesome (info and pic on the bike now in members bikes forum). It also starts really easy cold, solved that issue also. Thanks again for the assistance from tools for the help on the timing!
