Quite a bit different than my '79. Mine does not have the central rod running through the tubes, or the nut on top of the spring. I also noticed that the fork spring is progressively wound -- it is a dual rate spring. Wonder if it is OEM, or aftermarket...

I also have had a lot of Honda forks apart (even 550 forks), and never seen the long rod in any of them.
