Okay guys, I tore it apart (thining what else could I loose, if I mess it up, I just buy a new one anyways) and cleaned it. It WAS gummed up but that wasn't the main problem.
The problem was the little switch part that moves back and forth
The little plastic knob that sticks up into the switch lever was VERY worn (after 30 I guess plastic does that). So I took some Plastic Weld and made a new more robust knob. Filed it down so the switch lever could fit over the knob and walah!
Now the left and right turn signal clicks on perfectly. Thanks guys for the motivation to fix my existing switch and save me some money!
