Found an interesting seat. Not sure on fitment

ETFerguson
Hello all,

I've been trying to fashion myself a cafe seat pan for my 82 750K but it's got that nasty bump in the rear frame by the shocks. I found this today though which may be the answer to my problems if this will work. From this link I can see that it is made for the frames with what looks like the same raise. It says its for a 750C model from 81'. My question is... are the frames on my bike and this bike the same most likely?

Tell me what you think?

Thanks guys

The only difference on the frames is the tabs for the seat, tank, and side covers. So that seat should fit, besides it is shown with a "K" model tank, and side covers.

Thanks TOOLS! So by seat tabs you mean the way it bolts on the frame only? That's no biggie! I think I'm going to go for it once the seller gets back to me to confirm.

Riding season is almost here and my bike is almost done!

Little over a hundo US. I think I'm going to order it but I just want to be sure here before I spend the moola. He says the bike in that picture is either a 78 or 79 but I'm thinking it must be a 79 because it is definitely a DOHC. He says it's a "KZ" but I've never heard of that before. What do you guys think? I just want to be sure it has the same frame as my bike.

Here are the pictures of his bike in the listing

Here is the listing with dimensions

My bike and frame:

Thanks guys, I'm really hoping this works out! Once this seat is on I will be uploading tons of pics of my cafe build.

The "KZ" is a model designation in Europe like the "K", "F" are in the US. That bike in the picture sure looks like a 79-83 US "K" model.

Ah now it all makes sense. He is from the UK so that would be the reason I guess. Thanks so much I'm pumped to get this thing on my bike!
