Front brake pad problem

Lincoln Highway Bullitt
Hey guys. It's been awhile since I posted but I just put new front pads on my 1980 cb750F. Just like I figured after pushing the piston back and test ride it I noticed the calipers were hanging up. So I removed them both and rebuilt them. Now they are working perfectly. But. Even with the piston pushed back all the way. The pads almost seem to big. They fit snug. It squeaks and squeals going down the highway. I forget the brand of pads I had used. I purchased them last year. I think the name started with an E. Anyone ever run into this?  I will probably just pull them off and belt sand a little off for clearance.

I bought two sets of EBC pads for my SOHC. Both pair were too thick like you described. I ended up putting my old originals back on. Squealed less and stopped better.

I used ebc on my sohc and they were just fine. Wonder if they changed something. I think it may also depend on the type you get. They don't work as well but since new rotors are rare as hens teeth, I stick with organic instead of sintered.
