Nope, I've been careful. Had the front wash out a bit in some gravel yesturday,
besides that, smooth sailing--------knock on wood

Took about 3 weeks, but the cover finally showed up.
Took another 3 weeks to get around to it.
Havn't done much upholstering before, here we go.
The start of a saturday.]
Used a flat screwdriver, then a set of pliers to get the staples out.

They have a pretty good way of attaching the grab strap.
2 metal clips pinch the strap to the seat, with a small cotter ping holding the
screw from backing out
Apparently the 900 takes the same pattern. Had me nervous for a minute.

Started off centering it up as best I could.
Pulled it over the front, clamped it in the rear, ans started stapeling.
I used a stanley electric staplegun from lowes. the 3/8 staples I started
with were too long, 1/4 inch worked great. you really have to hold the gun
tight to the work. went front to back, then side to side centers, then filled in the corners.
The edges of the seat base were kinda sharp, I took the time to file them smooth

Easy job.
I would have liked it to be a bit tighter, but it is what it is.
Worked on and off with it all day, effin' cars and winter are killing me,
but a guy in a shop, 1 to 2 hours max I would think.

Youd think plastic would be flimsy.
Nice really Piute, no rust.
And the foam was a bit damp,
so much so it sat out in the sun most of the afternoon.
I know it isn't perfect, but it's a ton better.

I think it looks fantastic! Good job dude!
Was the factory cover actually sewed to the foam?

Nope, no stiching, the cover slid right off, kind of amazing, all that holds these things on
are a few staples.

Thanks for posting this! I have a new seat cover that I haven't put on yet, been kinda nervous about starting it. The pictures are a big help, gonna do it this weekend (after I pick up an electric stapler).

Will that seat work for a 78 CB750 Super Sport?

Got me on that one Hoko.
Had to trim the cover down the edges,
like it was too big maybe.
I know some guys shave the foam
in a seat to help with reaching the ground. That would change stuff. if your seat base is shorter or something, maybe a no go.
If you want, I'll send you the old one to see how it will fit, no problem.
zip an address to motogrady@yahoo.com.
Or check the link at the top, if you can get to their ebay store, they have model numbers
along with the covers.

If you use a heat gun to warm up the vinyl as you stretch it, you can get the cover much tighter.

I used a hair dryer, and got it on super tight. I'm very happy with how mine looks (but I was just replacing a torn cover, and didn't cut the foam at all).
