duckhunterjoe
Hi im new to the cb750 world and im going to look at one tomorrow. I was wondering what the price range should be? Its a 1978 cb750k. I was wondering if anyone could let me know of somethings i should look for? The bike as it is sitting is not running but the guy said the carbs just need to be cleaned. Hes wanting 700 for it nut i think i can get it for around 500. Is this a good deal???

If the engine turns over with good compression, and it has a clear title it would be worth that.

I paid $700 for my '76.  I bought it running.  If I were you I'd prefer to buy that one running too, or else I wouldn't pay any more than $500.

Engine compression would be the main thing to check.
A lot of these bikes have not had proper valves clearance checks and adjustments.

My son bought an '82K for $950,it was stock in good looking cond.It had 33000 miles and ran.
He rode it for about 3000 miles only to find out it needs a valve job.The valve clearance was so tight ,some of the valves burned.
