Got a bug to build something. SIDECAR

Lincoln Highway Bullitt
Ok folks I have been enjoying my cb750 bobber for the past year. I built it while struggling through the last part of a marriage of 19 yrs. I chose a bobber because I like the look and the single seat. Well the divorce has been finalized for a while now. After some hard times of dealing with losing the one you loved. "She left me for another guy" I finally realized with the help of my 2 teenage daughters that live with me that it was time to move on. So I did. I met a girl and we are very happy together. Now on to my problem. It's a single seater bobber. I love it the way it is. I want my new girl to experience the joy of riding with me. I know I can get another bike but I think a sidecar would be pretty neat. Do any of you guys know or point me in the right direction on the do and don'ts of building a side car. If its going to have suspension I am probably going with the leaf spring idea to match the bike.
Making Laps, Twisting the Throttle and Cruzz control, it just don't get any better!

Sounds like a cool project. I hope you document it in the build section. I'm sure alot of people would like to watch that come together. I know I do!

As far as setting up a sidecar rig to drive right,I have two buddies who are into sidecars big time. I've watched them make adjustments to the rigs, but I didn't really pay attention. If you need any help I'd be happy to pick their brains. Apparently it's not as easy as it looks to get the bike to sit up straight under all conditions-empty sidecar vs loaded sidecar. You also have to get it all tracking correctly, not just parallel.

Since you're into dirt track I'm sure you understand all about toe on a front end. Same principles apply here.

Just holler if you want any particular piece of info and I'll ask the guys. They looooove to talk about their rigs so it won't be hard to get info outta them.
