HOARDERS!!!!!!!

pat english
all you hoarders out thers need let some of it go.it makes me sad to see a guy hoard all his life and die.then the family fights over it and sells it off for scrap.i got an old nieghbor that has a cafe fairing that he bought brand new in the 70s for a "project someday".he wont even sell it.

sorry,i just had to vent that.

if you wana tease the rest of us with youre hoard collection hers the place to do it.no names.

                        post up those hoard pics!!!!!!!!

I'm hoarding an extra engine from a '79 K, and two sets of carbs. One set is complete but the other is in pieces. The plan is to rebuild that engine and swap it out when it's ready. That way I don't have much downtime on the bike.

Do you ever watch American Pickers on History channel?  There is one episode where some guy has all of these unbelievable bikes that he is letting rot away. Meanwhile, he is living in a dumpy-ass, nasty trailor.  If he'd sell, it would be a win-win.  People could salvage his awesome collection and he could live a decent lifestyle.

I wouldn't call it hoarding, but I do have a factory seat and rear fender/ brake light I have no intention of using. I planned on using the seat pan eventually, but who knows. I do have an assortment of parts for a 75 Suzuki RE5 bike though. This bike is rare, a Wenkle rotary motor. Supposed to be a project but never got around to it. Who knows, maybe someday. Until then, i will hoard it all I guess.

Now if that ain't hoarding what is..or maybe it's more of a pack rat thing..who knows! Just kinda venting because the box is getting more full and the bike still doesn't really run!!!!

Good luck with that Suzuki. I hear that they've got a lot of issues. More than 30 year old CB's that is ;)

Well I am keeping it original as possible...meaning am just trying to get the thing running so I can ride it..my box of shitty old parts consists of old no good gaskets, stripped screws, old no good throttle cables and a clutch cable..old fuse box that was melted and nargly. and some other crap...just good for nothing non-useable parts!! HAHAHA! Some times a just root around in the box and laugh at myself! I need to get this baby running soon I am dying!! I will post a few pictures in the next couple weeks..its just a standard '73 in the sunrise metallic color.
