Handlebar choices? Steering dampner?

Hello. I've got long arms. When I ride on the highways and freeways (70-80mph, around here) I lean forward a little bit too, and my 81 cb750k's huge bars are just too close. I'm thinking of switching to something more like the 750f/900f's bars.

There does not seem to be a lot on Ebay or anything though, so any thoughts on new compatible bars, or other brands I could buy used other than Honda?

It seems like a couple inch rise would be comfortable, not super sporty (for me that'd be flat bars). Does my model have internal wiring? If so then perhaps I should only seek out Honda ones?

I am hoping for the feel of the handling to improve as my weight becomes distributed a bit better. The fork feels too twitchy with my big arms and huge handlebars, on higher speeds. It is hard to get weight into them and push the bike into the corner, or at least not ideal.

Also are there any steering dampeners that work well for this model? I think that'd improve over-all feel for the high speeds of this state.

Superbike bars seem to be a real popular choice. Never used them myself,but I do have a bike I'm building and plan to go that route.

I dont know of any bolt-on steering dampers. But the piston style dampers are easily attached to most any bike. I have one on my silver bike and it works well. High speed wobbles are now gone,but it really doesnt affect general riding at all. I did not notice any increased effort in turning the bars. You can usually find them pretty cheap-used-on ebay. I got mine for $20. You will need a mount for the frame to attach it to.They tend to run around $30-40.

Would the Daytona's be a good inbetween bar? I plan to do some traveling too.

Also does ordering from Cycle Exchange mean they come with holes for wiring in them?

Also steering damper... I'm going to order a 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 frame clamp. Then I can mount the damper to fork hole (already there) and the damper to the frame just below gas tank. Looked it up a few times, seems the only reasonable way to do it without welding. If I feel it doesn't dampen enough I'll have to order a fork mount bracket in order to the get damper working further out from the axis point.
