The carbs in the "after" picture sure are pretty. Congratulations on getting the bike running. Nice feeling, isn't it? Like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day...
Keep up the good work.

My son's CB550F sounded nice too. Love the way that bike revved. For its weight and power, it was one quick bike. Past tense, because his car needed a new engine, and he sold it to defray the cost. Maybe he'll buy another one, and we'll do the father-son thing getting it going.
That'll be fun.

Ooh,I hate it when the wheel grabs your parts Always seems to happen when you're nearly done, too! Yeah, that brake cam definitely looks like it has been violenced a time or three.

WHAT A BEAUTY!!!
Makes me miss mine, same color but she wasn't in nearly as good of shape yours is when I got her. Not being able to afford the OEM parts I need to restore her, I went a diiferent route. No cutting and kept everything I took off so it could be restored by her new owner.
Here is a pic of mine back when we were happy together.
Don't know if you ought to ride it before you give it to the missus, you might not want to give it up!
Be sure to adjust the cam chain tensioner after 100 miles or so once it has a chance to loosen up. Made a world of difference on mine.
ENJOY!!!
