Thanks to all of you who are willing to help new B's to the 750. I have purchased a 1974 750 from its original owner the bike has 33,340 original miles. I am planning to turn the bike into a Cafe Racer. I will be pulling the engine as the head gasket leaks. When apart I will go through the engine and rebuild what ever I need.  I will have several good pts to sell and without going through ebay I may want to sell them here.

First for my questions: The front end is extended by 4" I want to rerurn to stock so looking for good non pitted top ends. If I can't find them what about Franks Forks??   Should I have the tubes cut 1-2" in front will that improve tight turnes???  For those of you that know what suspension tire size should I use to allow this bike take hard turns??
I plan on going all out on this bike show and handle well.

I will have a good original 1974 stock seat no rips or signs of ware Good turn siginals front and back. Good back finder and light. Great looking side covers elect and oil like new emblems.

Can't help you with the technical portion of your posting, but I will recommend putting your parts list (the stuff you're going to sell) in the For Sale section of the board (towards the bottom of the main page).  We're trying to keep things organized, and if we have to, we'll move messages around to keep things in order.

If you really want shorter forks, Franks is the place to go, but most people just slide them down in the triple trees.
If you want to go with stock, I have a nice set of stock tubes with like new break hoses. I would be willing to trade.

Here are some pictures of the tubes I have. The easiest way to swap them would be to just swap the tubes. All you need to do to remove the sliders is to remove the 6mm allen bolt from the bottom of the slider. Then the slider will come right off, and you can install new seals, and ATF. 5.5 oz. Also if you are interested. I polish aluminum.
Are your headlight ears the kind that use fork gators? I have a real nice set of original gators.

Do I need the original head light holders to use the gators?  This is in response to TOOLS I couldn't get a photo of your tubes. I would be interested in buying your stock tubes and if I need a pair of head light holders where can I get some NOS or Reproductions>>
