Honda CB750 1974 Having wiring issues....PLEASE HELP

bluesrider
Hello, I have a 1974 Honda CB750. Bike was turned into a Bobber/customized At this point, I have everything squared away, except for my turn signals. It seems when I have the flasher hooked up, which are: grey and black wire....black, being power and grey being the turn. As I hook up the grey wire to the left control switch, the flasher goes on and off without me manually engaging the switch. The fuse, therefore, will heat up to the point and blow. When I unscrew the front left control, from the handle-bars, my headlight goes out and the flasher stops working.....Is that normal??? Is that a ground???

It's not normal. Download the FSM from the top of the home page here, and check the wiring diagrams.

Thank you for your reply. I'm really not sure where to go on the homepage. I don't see anything.
