Honda StatelinE

A friend of mine is thinking about buying a Honda Stateline.  Does anyone know much about them?  It's his first bike.  I told him I think its too much bike for a first bike.  Any opinions?

What is it with new or inexperienced riders thinking they need big bikes? Is the pressure to look like a man THAT strong? It is like the people that by a sportster, get made fun of and have the bike be called a skirtster, then they go buy a roadking. It is just dumb. I saw a woman take a test on some 1300cc bike that was so big, she could barely even move the thing. Victim of yet another person who thinks you need 1000 or more CCs to go over 50mph.

Take your friend around and have him look at some used bikes that are smaller. Ask him if he wants to drop a $15000 bike or a $5000 bike? Tell him the weights of these bikes and ask him if he thinks he can pick one up when he drops it. Questions like this get people thinking usually.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!
