Horn issues

Hi to all. I have a 1983 CB750 and I'm having some issues with the horn. The horn works but some times the sound get weaker while riding. I dont know if it is suppose to sound louder with higher rpm or if this issue is normal on this bike. I changed the horn and the new one sounds better but  at some point during riding it start sounding weaker too.. Any advice or help on this issue will be appreciated.

Have you tried adjusting the screw on the back of the horn?
