Since I travel so much, I usually find a hotel with a good workout room.  I use a large 2' ball to ease the stress on my lower back. I do 50 reps 3x/week. Good tight abs help when one's lower back is weak/has been hurt.

I'm pretty fit, but not quite as strong as I'd like to be.

I have been doing this style of exercise for 4 years: http://www.crossfit.com

But have recently switched to a pure strength program to get my numbers up (Wendler 5-3-1).

A few fitness basics that I've learned along the way.

1. Diet is more important than exercise (don't eat processed food - meat & veg are best, don't overdo breads)
2. Good sleep (7-9 hours) is as important or more important that exercise

hahaha.........it ain'easy is it.
I'm just trying to get my strength back from the back operation last year.
I've always been kinda skinny, if anything I need the weight.

Take it easy at first dude, but most important, keep with it.

I had a friend, he just started walking in the evening, and
watched what he ate.  Every day, more walking, less fatty foods.
Still had his pizza, just not 6 slices a sitting.
Said he created a route he liked, kinda looked forward to seeing
what was up around his little town as the sun set, made it fun instead of work.
Just a suggestion I've seen that actually worked.

good luck guy

My job is my biggest Prob.,I sit all day ,handling tiny Lil parts ,eye's get a work out about it.
I walk a lot during breaks & lunch ,usually just a peanut butter bar/cookie for breakfast & coffee.
Lunch a bigg salad with chopped meat Chicken/ham/turkey,even use thin slice lunch meet.
I like going to the gym and working out at a slow pace ,Jacuzzi,Sana

Most all in my family are diabetics at my age(50),I had to wait to long before getting into gym(money, insurance, location,)had gallbladder removed that what scared me most, when my abs knotted up for long time.
