How to torque rear wheel axle with 4 pipes on?

Ferdinand
Hi all,

Thanks for finding this place I save lots time by using tech tips here.

I am troubled by tightening CB750KZ (RC01) rear wheels axle with proper torque due to narrow space for using wrench and socket without taking exhausts off. I am curious if there is any quick way or tips for this step?

Thanks for advising!!

Ferdinand

Just make it tight, and then tighten it to where you can put the cotter pin into one of the slots. You really do not need to be so precise that you need a torque wrench.

What he said. ^  I usually tighten mine til the tire starts to raise off the ground. Maybe it's too tight, but works good so far.

Thanks for your input. Seems there is no other better method to torque it. I might mark it without pipes then align it for future chain adjustment.

Best,
