Well CB 750 engines. Today while at Tompkins Ind having braided stainless steel break lines made up, for my buddy Gerald's K-3 (I just installed duel discs on it.) A guy rode up on a Harley. He immediately started drooling over Gerald's bike, and said he used to have a bunch of CB 750's. He said "You know I still have two engines, and a bunch of parts in my shed". I asked if he wanted to sell them, and he said "yes". I asked how much? $100.00 for both, and the parts. Went to his house later when he got home from work, and got them. One good K-3 engine (missing side covers, but has a new clutch.) Two 4 into 1 exhaust systems, and an extra muffler. Finned engine covers, and an electronic ignition. The other is complete. Even has chrome coils attached to it, and the cylinders have been re stamped. Where they used to say 736cc they now say 836cc, and he claimed that the head, had been ported, and a performance cam installed. Of course I will take it apart to check, and freshen it up.
Oh the best part was, this guy's name was Harley, and they used to call him "Honda Davidson".

I like vintage bikes because they take me away from the clutter of technology that I work with everyday and back to a simpler time of mechanical elegance and simplicity.. "ninadm"
