I just orderded two sets of these.

Just saw them on the Cycle-X site, and ordered two sets. One, for Mortal Vindication, and the other, for my not yet named Cafe build.

I put foam grips on mine, a couple of years ago...  Should have done it as soon as I bought it.  Put the same foam grips on my Voyager.  Soft is nice, they absorb nearly all of the vibration in the handlebars; it makes it much easier on the hands, when riding for more than an hour (typically 2-3 hours for us, on the front, when touring, before we switch places -- couldn't last that long without the soft grips, as even a mild vibration takes a heavy toll on your hands and arms, over time).

I hope these are soft, as you won't regret it.  Even though your fingers tend to sink into soft grips, with the foam units (likely the softest type available), there is no issue with grip, or slippage -- in pucker moments, your hand just tightens on the hard plastic throttle tube/metal bar beneath, without slipping, even when wearing gloves...  Don't ask how I know.    Once you get accustomed to a soft set, you won't want anything else.  Cheers!

I run the old fashioned air cushion grips on the Toolmatic . Most of my riding is 1/2 hour trips, but when I went to Tucson last year the only real comfort problem was the overly stiff throttle return spring. I have cured that problem. The two bikes that these grips are going on are not going to be daily riders. One is a hardtail bobber, and the other will be a bent over riding position cafe bike. Neither will I want to be on, for very long, but will look COOL as all get out parked.

Oh no! Tools, you're the last person I ever expected to build driveway jewelry ! In reality though, cafe seating is not nearly as bad as people let on. I can run a full tank gas through the bike without ever stopping and have no problems whatsoever. Actually, stopping for gas seems like a real pain in the butt, but i don't think a 10 gallon tank is feasible I think some guys like to"glorify" their uncomfortable cafe bikes as being extremely uncomfortable, hard to handle beasts so that other riders will think they are some kind of tuff guy true-blue biker type macho man. I cant stand that, reminds of the...what did you call them?...RUB's? Now the hard tail...that just sounds uncomfortable...but i still want one. I'm still trying to figure out how to fake a hardtail with rear suspension.Once I do the W.B. will have a brother

hehe    death grip      good one Lucky!

"Death Grip"  That might have to be a build name, for a future bike.
