I'm being driven crazy by a barn find, this time clutch issue

Burro
I'm reassembling a 71 cb750k and I can't seem to get the clutch to disengage, the bike is always in neutral even though it is clunking into gear no go. I've replaced it, I've adjusted it I've sworn at it in German ( If ya'll have any choice Japanese words I'll be happy to repeat them aswell ) Any thoughts I'm fixing to light it on fire.

Ataro? It is supposed to mean "prepare to have your ass kicked" in Japanese.
You are going to have to take it apart.

It shall now hear my threats in its foreign tongue! I've had the thing apart many times, I'm thinking of adding an eighth plate and spacer, any thoughts on my plan?

Pretty cool idea.  Made here in Ohio, so you KNOW it's done right.

Although I thought shifting and clutching was the fun part of riding.

You still shift, and clutch, if you want, but it works better.
