Just went out to run some errands, and stopped at the gas station. The gas is $3.59 a gallon  Last night it was $3.47. Last month it was $2.67. What the hell is going on that gas can jump $.12 a gallon over night every few days?

I work 20 miles from home in another town. Friday night gas fill-up time.
Passed by the $3.62 in that town and drove home on fumes to find it $3.89 here...
ARRRRRGH!

LOL, $1.25/litre here. That is $4.58 per gallon.
Now just wait for someone from the UK to come make fun of me...
Whatever, it's still incredibly cheap considering how much we get out of it. We were just used to having for so cheap for so long.
Honestly it would have to be like $4/litre for me to change my driving habits. That should tell you something.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was an actual gallon of gas. With all the garbage and fillers they add to it. It's a wonder it even burns. I know I has noticed about a 3-4 mpg loss in fuel economy in my vehicles with the stuff they call gas. My mower barely runs on the stuff. Now they make outdoor equipment fuel. All that is pure gas without all the fillers at $8 bucks a gallon.
Making Laps, Twisting the Throttle and Cruzz control, it just don't get any better!

The rapid and unusual rise in gas prices at this time of year is the direct result of hedge funds from Wall Street to London amassing positions on literally millions of barrels of oil and gasoline. Any quick read of fundamentals shows the global economy is well supplied and demand stable. Yet concerns about a shortage of cheap blending components, needed for summer grade fuel, has commodity hedgers betting massively, without position limits, that prices will head up. The sheer size of their over-leveraged bets and positions based on rumour rather than fact, makes higher prices a sure bet. Its a nauseating and reckless repeat of the 2008 energy superbubble which threatens to disrupt the global economy, not to mention a swift kick in the pants to consumers who pay for these price distortions.

I don't want to hear it. Do you have any idea how long it's been since I've seen anything under $3/gallon?!?! Years?!?!? You've been having it easy man! Diesel finally dropped below $4/gallon about 6 months ago. Ever since Mr Post Turtle got elected diesel has been right at,or above, $5/gallon. Our 87 octane is $3.65 right now and it's a relief to see that price!
Hell,it's still cheaper than milk!  <--now that's crazy...don't get me started

Out here in Ca. the price has gone from $3.50 back up to $4.00.

In California they add 10% ethanol.
Ethanol has less energy when burned than gasoline.
So you get less milage.
Ethanol also attracts water. It causes problems if you do not
add something to the gas like SEAFOAM to keep the moisture in suspension.
After 60 days of the gas just sitting, expect trouble.
