Mmm, a redheaded cutie pie on a cool bike. You can't beat that! I dig her headlight ears,I'd like to find some like that.

p.s.-My brain is weird. When she was walking through the tall grass at the end of the video all I could think was: "Snakes! Watch out! There's snakes in there!"Have I ever mentioned I really hate snakes?

Great bike (mint green...who-da-thunk-it), lovely countryside, nice leisurely ride.

Regarding the snake issue:
I nominate we give "barelycompetent" the nickname SLAG.

I got to stand up for the snakes here.  They really are a fascinating animal. Take some time getting to know them and you may be surprised! (I may be saying this because I have owned a snake for the last 17 years!)

I agree, I caught a juvenile rat snake in my house a while back. It was very calm and i approached it slowly, it didn't spook, and I was able to pick it up and put it outside. I've got a half dozen small snakes in the backyard, and as long as they keep patrolling and eliminating pests, they will keep their home here. I had a black snake about a foot long crawl up my leg when we were sitting outside grilling. It was a very cold day, and It just curled up in my lap until it warmed up. lol My friend was freaking, but it was just one of those black racers, which are usually very shy of people, but I guess the cold over-rode the fear. It was under 50 degrees that evening, which doesn't happen often here in FL.

See. I knew I liked this guy! And to think, y'all mentioned banning him at one time. Shame on you!

Butcher,my girlfriend,Crys, used to a pet snake. Western hog nose I think it was. The little guy was actually pretty cute. He never got more than about 12-14'' long and was kinda skinny. She would carry him around in her shirt pocket. It always creeped me out, though. I live in the middle of 100 acres and the way I see it is this: they have 99 1/2 acres to do whatever the heck they want. Just stay outta my house/shop/yard...or else!   Not a snake hater, just a self proclaimed scaredy-cat.  BTW,they get pretty huge around here. The average black snake is 5-6' long. Copper heads usually run about 4'. Rattlesnakes are few and far between, but the one I have skinned and on my wall is a little over 3'.

OK,enough snake talk or I'll never sleep tonight...

a great place to ride

the island of Rhodos [Rhodes], Greece. I was there a couple of years ago . . . beautiful countryside and some wild roads [this isn't me; I wish it were!].

The driving itself: pretty wild! narrow twisty two-lane mountain "highways" . . . scooters coming both directions; I'd pass one, another car would pass me as I'm passing, and a car or two would come from the other direction . . . somehow we all came out alive. still wasn't as bad as being in San Juan Costa Rica -- 5-6 lanes of traffic squeezed into two narrow lanes!
