Identifying push & pull throttle cables

oneparadigm
I need to replace one of the cables on my 78 CB750 and just wanted to verify which is the push and which is the pull cable.  I cannot seem to find any publication that tells you which is the A or the B cable.  I have one attached to the throttle right now, it is furthest away from your thumb, I require the other one that is closer.

This is my first bike and I really don't know much about them so I am learning as I go along, please bear with me.  If anyone can please let me know so that I do not purchase the wrong cable, I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers!

Also, depending on the cable, you might need to lube then first.
If you got the motion pro cables, lube them first. if they are honda cables, then you are not supposed to lube them. There is supposed to be a teflon sleeve that takes care of that.

Thanks for the info to both of you.  I was pretty sure I had the pull cable, thanks for verifying that fact and also to replace both cables.  I had thought about doing that as well.  Is it better to get Honda cables or can I just get aftermarket ones?

Cheers!

All personal preference really. Some like the honda cables and will not anything else. I got the motion pro and my throttle turns almost as easy as my wifes 2003 rebel.
the honda cables might last longer but they are about 3 times the cost.
