You need a good solid state regulator. You also need a charger capable of balancing cells if the battery can not do it for itself, most can't. You need this charger as the bike will NOT balance cells, period.
Also, in cold mornings, a lithium battery needs to "warm up" to provide full power. This is usually done by leaving the headlight on a for a bit.
As TOOLS said, unless you need a small battery to hide, for a build, lithium really doesn't offer any benefits. I use AGM type batteries in all my bikes.
