If I wanted to switch over to lithium battery?

bagoony
For an '82 CB750F

I saw that I would need to see if the regulators on my bike are compatible? And if not, is it hard to swap out?

What should I be considering when switching over to lithium?

What type of lithium battery would you recommend?

Is it worth it?
If its not worth it, ill just stick with what I have.

Thanks for your advice/opinions in advance.

The only reason to go Lithium is if you want a small battery you can hide. I like the AGM battery s myself.

You need a good solid state regulator. You also need a charger capable of balancing cells if the battery can not do it for itself, most can't. You need this charger as the bike will NOT balance cells, period.

Also, in cold mornings, a lithium battery needs to "warm up" to provide full power. This is usually done by leaving the headlight on a for a bit.

As TOOLS said, unless you need a small battery to hide, for a build, lithium really doesn't offer any benefits. I use AGM type batteries in all my bikes.
